Jerry Daeke, a State-Certified
General Real Estate Appraiser, has performed real estate appraisals on all
types
of properties since 1970. Jerry was engaged in single-family and multi-family
residential and commercial construction and brokerages from 1968 to 1980.
Jerry is a graduate of the REALTORS, Institute earning the
professional designation GRI, and is an approved instructor by the North
Carolina Appraisal board. He taught real estate fundamentals from 1970 to 1986
for various community colleges, and he has conducted appraisers’ pre-licensing
and pre-certification courses since 1991. He has had extensive education in real
estate, appraisal procedures, and environmental influences. He has been declared
an expert witness in courts of law involving eminent domain and other real
estate cases.
Jerry is a member of the Pinehurst-Southern Pines Area
Association of Realtors, the North Carolina Association of Realtors, and the
National Association of Realtors. He is also a member of the Appraiser Section
of the National Association of Realtors and has earned the professional
designation General Accredited Appraiser (GAA). He is also a member of the North
Carolina Professional Appraisers’ Coalition. He served on the Southern Pines
Town Council for eights years, including two years as Town Treasurer and two
years as Mayor Pro Tem. He is currently serving on the Moore County Tax
Equalization and Review Board which has given him extensive insight to the
County Property Tax system.
Jerry has enjoyed forty-three years of married life, and he
and his wife have three daughters and eight grandchildren.
